3rd Sari-Sari Store Fair, Oct. 16-18

The third CSI Sari-Sari Store Fair will reel off on October 16-18 the CSI the City Mall in Lucao to be co-sponsored by the Department of Trade and Industry, National Food Authority and the Department of Labor and Employment and other government agencies.

Vice Mayor Belen Fernandez, chairman of the board of CSI Group of Companies, said the activity at CSI Stadia will be formally opened by Mayor Alipio Fernandez Jr. in the morning of October 16.

Top suppliers of merchandize who will sell goods to sari-sari store owners and buyers at discount prices are participating.

Fernandez expects more sari-sari store owners and prospective entrepreneurs in Pangasinan and the Ilocos Region to join the fair this year where “negosyo” sessions will be held presided by business experts.

Promising the popular fair to be bigger than past fairs, she said there will also be more shows, cooking demos, business promos, raffles and prizes for lucky shoppers and winners.

Fernandez said the sari-sari store provides the opportunity for added income for families in this time of economic crisis.

Students, particularly those from business schools, will also be invited to observe the fair.

Meanwhile, more than 2,000 children from all day care centers in Dagupan, including their chaperons, will be treated to a free movie on October 8 at CSI the City Mall cinemas the whole day of October 8 in connection with the Children’s Week as part of the city’s Observance of the International Children’s Month.

The children will receive give-aways and free snacks while viewing the movie “Up”.

The free movie is a yearly activity of CSI during the Children’s Week every year that started in 2003.

The senior citizens in the city will also be treated to one-day medical mission at CSI Stadia on October 24 where they will be entertained by the father and son tandem of Ronaldo Valdez and Janno Gibbs. LM
