CALASIAO–This town’s new municipal building is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

Mayor Roy Macanlalay, speaking during last week’s Kapihan sa Besco sponsored by the Pangasinan Press and Radio Club, said the building will be fully operational by January next year.

He cited the municipal council for immediately approving the plan to secure a loan from Land Bank of the Philippines to carry out the construction.

The town’s hall was destroyed in a fire last year.

The cause of the fire that razed the old building, including all the municipal office’s records, and the adjacent Señor Divino Tesoro shrine in September last year remains unresolved.

The municipal government offices have since been temporarily transferred to offices behind the old town hall. #
