Lingayen police get new patrol bikes

LINGAYEN–The police station here finally received the promised eight bicycles from the Delano City government in California, USA last Thursday.

The project, aimed at increasing police visibility to improve the peace and order situation, was undertaken through coordination between P/Supt. Harris Fama, the town police chief, and Reverend Joseph Wright Jr. of the Delano City Police Department.

The bikes are equipped with bike bags and carrier, built-in flashlights and sirens and came with helmets.

The Sangguniang Bayan passed a resolution commending Delano City Mayor Sam Ramirez, the Delano City Council, Delano City Chief of Police Mark Derosia, Delano City Police Department, Mr. Abdel Salem and the Rotary Club of Delano, USA for the donation.

Lingayen Mayor Ernesto Castañeda Jr. plans to craft a memorandum of agreement to make the Lingayen Police and the Delano City Police Department as sister police stations. #
