Pep Bengzon medical mission in Lingayen
Former finance under-secretary Jose Bengzon led a medical, dental and optical mission in Lingayen on July 19 in celebration of his birthday.
The activity was supported by his fellow presidents in district 3830 of the International Rotary Club. Bengzon said in an interview that his fellow “sharing” presidents of the Rotary Club were about to give him a birthday gift but he requested them to share the gift that would benefit as many people as possible.
Doctors, nurses, and other volunteers from the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) as well as private dental and optical practitioners were present during the mission held at the Samson-Bengzon Elem. School.—Gregor Aquino Sajonas, UPang
