PACA prexy tells kabaleyans: Visit your hometowns

Quintin Palisoc, president of the Pangasinan Association of Canada (PACA), appealed to Pangasinenses in Canada to visit their hometowns regularly and see how they can best help in promoting the many developments proven to be beneficial to the people of their hometowns.

Speaking during the 2nd anniversary and induction ball of the Mapandan Association of Ontario, at the Garnet Williams Center, Vaughn, Ontario, Canada, on July 11, 2009, he called upon them to invest in their hometowns in Pangasinan in order to help propel the economic growth of their respective towns, the province of Pangasinan, and the country.

For her part, Ms. Teresita Burguillos, the newly-inducted president of the Mapandan Association of Ontario, called on her members to continue working together as to achieve and help realize the dream of every native of Mapandan now residing in Ontario province and other parts of Canada.

The other new officers and board of directors are Ben Cerame, 1st vice president; Federico Servito, 2nd vice president; Rosita Padlan, secretary; Virgie Rajah, assistant secretary; Mila Cerame, treasurer; Lilia Serafica, assistant treasurer; Laarni Junatas, auditor; John Bongato, auditor; Roger Servito, auditor; Melita Angeles, Ina Dalope Agbayani and George Aquino, public relations officers.

The members of the board of directors are Joy Maiquez, Jun Angeles, Jaime Meneses, Bienvenido Bongato, Danny Soriano, and Jhony Burguillos.

The board of advisers is composed of Dr. Gloria Soriano Meneses, Sophia Tandingan, Emelda Lasyda, Lolita Steves, Erminda Angeles, Paz Aquino, Alicia Junatas, Virginia Bongato, and Cesar Padlan.

Also present at the induction program were Ernie Quinit, PACA founder; Willie Rapanan, PACA immediate past president, and his wife Precy; Julio Sison, president, Binalonan Association of Ontario, and his wife Lan; Emily Palisoc; Ralph and Leli Victorino of Supreme Optical (Jojo Taduran).
