Abrenica invites kabaleyans to Villasis

TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA–Villasis Mayor Nonato Abrenica urged kabaleyans residing in Canada to see for themselves the many improvements of the town.

Abrenica spoke to members of Annak Ti Villasis of Canada during his visit to the city to promote the forthcoming town fiesta in January next year in honour of the town’s Patron Saint, San Antonio de Padua.

The mayor who is on his last term, said the construction of the new P25 million public market is completed and the P40 million loan from the Philippine National Bank has been fully paid.

He said the unspent funds are being used for the construction of the public auditorium and will be ready for the town’s fiesta next year.

Abrenica, who was introduced by Cristy Pe Benito, president of the Annak Ti Villasis of Canada, lauded the participation of three candidates of Ms. Villasis 2010 that include Ms. Reynalda Lagleyva-Ramos representing Canada; Ms. Violeta Madayag- Menor of France; and Ms. Nelpha Velasco-Vejano of Australia.

Among those who welcomed the mayor and his wife were: Quintin Palisoc and Willie Rapanan, the incumbent president and immediate past president of the Pangasinan Association of Canada (PACA) respectively; Julio Sison, president of the Binalonan Association of Canada. (Contributed by Jojo Taduran)
