LTO’s ‘Earth Run’ set July 4
THE Land Transportation Office (LTO) headed by Assistant Secretary Arturo Lomibao, in cooperation with the Dagupan City Schools Division and the Kiwanis Club of Dagupeña, will hold a fun run on July 4.
Dubbed as “Earth Run, a marathon for the environment”, the event will be held in Dagupan City on the theme “Run and walk for good health and clean air.”
The categories are: 3-kilometer (for below 13 years old) and 5-kilometer (13 years old and above). There will be two separate sets of winners for the male and female divisions.
Cash prizes will be awarded winners in the 3-k run and 5-k races.
Special awards are reserved for the youngest and oldest runners to reach the finish line.
Both races will start and finish at the City Museum.
“We are holding this marathon to drumbeat the advocacy of the DOTC that is being cascaded by the LTO, the advocacy for clean air for good health and good environment; and road safety,” Lomibao stated.
Registration and assembly area will be at city plaza starting at 5a.m.
Registration forms are available at the Shell-Caranglaan gasoline station and at the office of Mr. Edil Abalos at the Dagupan City Schools Division.
