New BVANHS officers inducted

THE NEW set of officers of the Supreme Student Government (SSG) of Benigno V. Aldana National High School (BVANHS) was formally inducted into office last Wednesday October 15, 2008 with Mayor Emma Zosima Chan and Councilor Dennis Uy as inducting guests and speakers.

The new officers are Irish Ruth Villanueva, president; Kirsten Hazel Mejia, vice president; Ghint Pernes, secretary; Grissa Ancheta, treasurer; Alexandra Flores, auditor; Jessica Sandoval, press information officer; Desiree Rose Go, peace officer; 1st Year Representatives Danica Malbog, Aiza Ayson, Joan Lucero, Joanne Belen and Sarah Changli; 2nd Year Reps Queenie Perez, Sherry Anne De Guzman, Karl Michael Pasag and Nemiah Naces; 3rd Year Reps Lovely Ann Perez, Daniel Ross Siblag, Archieval Soriano and Emmanuel Fajilan; 4th Year Reps Jeremy Bentillo, Kramae Labrado, Kisha Mae Vergonia and Angela Estuisa.

Dr. Jerome Paras is SSG adviser while Samuel Fortaleza is co-adviser.

During the event, Uy conducted a short course on leadership in line with the occasion’s theme: “Harnessing student leaders’ potential to encourage vibrant and participative studentry for school, community development and nation building.”

The day ended with a celebration to youth when Mayor Kimi Cojuangco of Sison, brought the ten teen finalists of the Search for SISON idol to the event.—Emmanuelle
