Dagupan holds medical mission during fiesta
HUNDREDS of indigent families benefited from a medical mission held on Friday at the PNR Site Mayombo in Dagupan City sponsored by Councilor Alfie Fernandez, this year’s Dagupan City Fiesta hermano mayor.
The activity was part of the Dagupan Fiesta activities carried out by Councilor Jesus Canto, chairman of the city council’s committee on health.
Doctors and nurses of the Region 1 Medical Center tended to sick patients while members of the Philippine Association of Medical Technologists (PAMET), headed by Aldrid Bigay, carried out diabetes tests.
Similar day-long medical missions are also scheduled in other barangays while another was held on Wednesday in front of the Medical Centrum in barangay Tambac for the tricycle sector of the city.
Another medical mission is slated for tricycle drivers in barangay Pantal in coordination with Barangay Captain Lilia Yazar.
Barangay Captain Samuel Guadiz of Mayombo thanked the city government for making his barangay the medical mission’s first destination.—LM
