JDV distributes 600 scholarships
REP. Jose de Venecia Jr. has allocated 600 vocational scholarships for out-of-school youth to mayors in the Fourth District last week as he encouraged the young to be productive members of society.
De Venecia made available P5 million to different local colleges and universities that will give the scholarship grants to qualified beneficiaries from Dagupan, Mangaldan, San Fabian, San Jacinto and Manaoag.
The congressman already has 550 full scholars who have completed or currently enrolled in vocational courses, including welding, computer technician and health care.
The mayors in the district have been tasked to nominate candidates who can avail of the full scholarships. — LM
