MORE than 100 families living at the Gawad Kalinga Bangusville in Dagupan have expressed interest in the Pagsasarili program of the city government.

Alberto de Vera, agricultural technologist of the City Agriculture Office (CAO), told The PUNCH that some residents have already been introduced into the program by his office, by providing technical assistance and seeds.

The CAO distributes seedlings and teaches propagation techniques, including the use of containerized gardening for those with limited lot areas.

“Nagpakita ng interes ang mga tao dun sa lugar nang puntahan naming at ipinakita ang mga maitutulong ng program sa kanila,” he said.

The Pagsasarili Program’ is intended to help communities become more self-sufficient in terms of food source and for possible additional income source.—CSR
