ROSALES–Sixth District Rep. Conrado Estrella III hailed the arrival of an SM mall here, saying it will spur economic activity not just in this agricultural town but in the province as a whole.

“The benefits that will accrue to this town and the whole district as well and the province as a whole in terms of taxes, investments and employment opportunities are tremendous,” said Estrella, a native of Rosales.

“If you have SM in your area, its competitors will also come in,” he added.

SM Rosales, due to open in November, is located along MacArthur Highway in Barangay Carmen East covering a 42,000 square meter space.

Karen Padilla, public relations officer of SM Baguio, said SM Rosales, which will be the 32nd in the company’s chain of malls around the country, is targeting not just the Pangasinan market but also consumers from neigh-boring provinces of Tarlac and Nueva Ecija.

“People need not go far anymore for their shopping needs because like the other SM branches nationwide, we’ve got it all for you,” she said. #
