PMA entrance exam, Aug. 31

The entrance exams to the Philippine Military Academy will be held at the University of Pangasinan (UPang) in Dagupan on August 31.

Navy Lt. Cdr. Carlo Resurreccion, officer-in-charge of the testing center in UPang, said applications are still being accepted and only fifty walk-in applicants will be accepted on August 30 at 1 p.m.

Applicants must be natural born Filipino citizens; of good moral character; single and never been married; at least 5’4″ (for male) and 5’2″(for female) tall; not a day older than 21 years and not a day younger than 17 years on April 1, 2009 (born between April 1,1987 and April 1,1992); at least a high school graduate with general point average (GPA) of 85 percent or higher; and must be physically fit for cadetship.

Applicants must bring two pieces of 2×2 ID picture, photocopy of NSO birth certificate and photocopy of Form-137.

The examination starts at 7 a.m. and lasts till 5 p.m.

Successful examinees for the written test will undergo physical examination at the end of this year at the V. Luna Hospital in Quezon City.

While at the PMA, a cadet will receive free education, a monthly salary, and upon graduation will be commissioned either to the Army, Navy or Air Force of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.—CSR
