JdV distributes more materials to Cosme victims in district
SAN FABIAN–Rep. Jose de Venecia Jr. continued delivering his promised assistance to victims of Typhoon Cosme by distributing more construction materials last week.
To date, he gave out a total of 73,423 galvanized iron sheets and 42,613 pieces of lumber to victims in his district.
The G.I sheets were from the National Shelter Program of the government.
Dagupan victims received the biggest share with 21,000 G.I sheets and 18,000 pieces of wood, including two boxes of nails.
Mangaldan received 16,350 G.I. sheets and 9,800 pieces of lumber while San Fabian got 16,000 G.I. sheets and 7,500 pieces of lumber.
San Jacinto got 7,300 G.I. sheets and 3,750 pieces of lumber while Manaoag got 2,773 G.I sheets and 2,663 pieces of lumber.
De Venecia and wife Gina had just returned from Beijing, China to watch the opening of the Beijing Olympic Games as guests of the Chinese government.— LM
