CdD topnotcher gets P100,000 cash bonus for feat
The Colegio de Dagupan (CdD) alumna who placed sixth in the recent nursing licensure examination has been rewarded with P100,000 cash by her school in recognition of her achievement.
Rizza Armas Tamayo, daughter of radio broadcaster Francisco Tamayo Jr. k known as Macky Delgado of dwPR Dagupan City, is the first nursing board topnotcher from CdD which has so far produced three batches of examinees.

Tamayo, who posted an 85% grade in the board exam, was among 27,765 board passers out of 64,459 examinees. The highest grade posted in the recent exam was 86%.
“Passing the exams is already a lot to me. Being one of the topnotchers is a bonus,” said the 19-year old lass.
Tamayo, a magna cum laude and a consistent presidential scholar in CdD, received her cash bonus personally from Dr. Voltaire Arzadon, CdD president, during the school’s Monday flag ceremony.
After taking the exams, Tamayo was immediately hired as a researcher in the Nursing Department of CdD in June.
Tamayo said the incentive to be given by Arzadon will help her pursue the National Council Licensure Examination, a requirement for candidates for licensure as registered nurse by all US state and all territorial Boards of Nursing.
However, she said plans to work in the country for several years first before seeking greener pastures abroad.
“Wala munang boyfriend. Saka na lang yan,” said Tamayo as an advice to students, but she added that finding time to enjoy life is also important.
