Mangaldan ABC bowlfest unfolds on July 4
THE Association of Barangay Captains (ABC) of Mangaldan will hold a bowling tournament beginning July 4 at RG Bowldrome in Dagupan City.
According to Abraham de Asis, barangay chairman of Bari and chairman of the event, the bowl fest, dubbed as the “First LMB Mangaldan Inter-Color Bowling Tournament,” will be exclusive to the 30 barangay captains and their respective kagawads in Mangaldan.
“We are staging this kind of tourney because we know that bowling is also a good sport not only for the youth but also for the middle-aged people,” said Melchor De Guzman, barangay chair of Buenlag and the ABC president.
With the full support of the Mayor Herminio Romero and 4th District Board Member Jeremy Agerico Rosario, cash prizes and trophies await the winners of the tourney.
“After this, a basketball tournament is next tentatively scheduled this coming October or early November but the planned cagefest is for the youth and it will be supported by the ABC of Mangaldan,” de Guzman added.—JAG, Jr.
