Dagupan honors Malilin

ONE of the owners of the well-known Club Mwah has been adopted as an honorary son of Dagupan.

Pocholo Malillin, vice president and executive producer of Club Mwah in Mandaluyong City and a native of Malasiqui town, personally received the plaque from Vice Mayor Belen Fernandez containing the resolution authored by city councilor Jose Netu Tamayo in a simple ceremony during the council’s regular session last Tuesday.

Malillin, who resided for some time in Dagupan where he made a name for himself as a producer-director of cultural and entertainment shows, was cited for his achievements in the field of stage and theatrical entertainment.

The two returned to the Philippines in 2004 and continued their cultural and entertainment inclinations and established Club Mwah.

The club has been the recipient of many international awards including the Global Award of Excellence and an award from the Asia-Pacific Awards Council jointly with the National Consumer Affairs Foundation.
