Mayor Hernani Braganza did not quote numbers but said in an interview with The PUNCH but that there were definitely more tourists this year compared to the previous years.

Braganza also noted the influx of Korean tourists and domestic tourists to the Hundred Islands National Park here who patiently waited for their turn at the motorized bancas at the Lucap wharf, the jump-off point to the Hundred Islands, to ferry them to the one of the islands.

Braganza said the city has drawn up new tourist development plans in the city to attract more visitors one of which is the construction of swimming pools in barangay Lucap as added attraction.

Food stalls have been put up at the Lam-Ang Park, where visitors can dine and in the evening, musicians stage performances here.
