A student of Ednas School-Dagupan clinched two major awards in the recently concluded National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) held in Koronadal, South Cotabato.

Kevin Rey Dela Cruz, a 3rd year Ednasian, and his coach Christopher Segui, representing Region 1, bagged 2nd place in Group Radio Broadcasting – Infomercial and 2nd place in Group Radio Broadcasting – English.

Dela Cruz, who received his awards last February 20, 2008 at the South Cotabato Gym and Cultural Center, is the photojournalist in the school paper Breakthrough.

Previously, he won 2nd place in Photojournalism – English in the Regional Schools Press Conference.

The annual schools press conference pitted students of elementary and high schools in the country in various categories on campus journalism that include news writing, feature, editorial, photojournalism, editorial cartooning, copy reading, headline writing and radio broadcasting (script writing and infomercial).
