Over 75 top elementary and high school students from Dagupan City’s public and private schools will be given special recognition on March 26 by the city government and JCI Dagupan Inc.

Dubbed as Dagupan City Matalisiw Class of 2008 program, the annual recognition rites will feature for the first time the largest assembly of class valedictorians and other outstanding students in the city.

The young honorees will receive a Youth Leadership Excellence Award certificate and a specially-crafted Ang Batang Lider medallion provided by the Philippine Jaycees and the Office of Senator Francis Chiz Escudero.

“Both JCI Dagupan Inc. and the city government are honored to give them a stage on which to recognize their achievements, as might be done for excellence in athletics or the performing arts,” said Nancy Samson-Reyna, school directress of the Digital Learning Links Tutorial Center, Mother Goose Special Science High School (Pozorrubio) and project chairman of Ang Batang Lider Awards.
