Santillan cousins lift UPang 5 vs. Capitol Team to victory
SANTILLAN cousins Bryan and Romnick, both three-point specialists, combined 46 points making University of Pangasinan Webczars win over title-contender Capitol Team in the semifinals of the First Martina Farm Open Basketball Tournament.
Held at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center (NRSCC) in Lingayen on February 10, the game closed at 97-86, forcing a knockout match on Saturday between the two teams.
As of press time, the court battle is still ongoing.
The winner in the knock-out match will face St. Lucy’s Cataract Eye Care Center in the best-of-three championship series starting today at the NRSCC.
“The cousins Bryan and Romnick are our premiere players and they deserve to be recognized. They are very difficult to stop,” said coach Jay Ronquillo.
