Joey de V leads ICT speakers

Broadband technology expert Jose de Venecia III will lead speakers at the two-day 2008 Regional Information and Communications Technology Congress in Dagupan City on February 26 – 27 at the Don Alipio Fernandez Sr. Astrodome.

Aside from De Venecia, the other speakers are ICT Commissioner Monchito Ibrahim, Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities president Gonzalo Duque, Commission on Higher Education Director Evelyn Pascua, Globe Philippines Vice President Jones Campos, Department of Trade and Industry Director Florante Leal, Bitstop Communications Chief Operations Officer Wilson Chua, and Philippine Society of Information Technology Educators (PSITE) president Reynaldo Jay Hidalgo.

The ICT regional congress, organized by Medialink Special Events with support from the Dagupan City government, is aimed at giving Region I ICT business executives, professionals and students the latest trends in broadband and ICT technology “to speed up socio economic development in the north.”

The first successful ICT regional congress had former President Fidel Ramos, former Governor Oscar Orbos, then Broadband Philippines Chairman and President Jose de Venecia III, Mayor Benjamin Lim, Bitstop COO Wilson Chua as main speakers.

The ICT congress has been endorsed by Governor Amado Espino, Rep. Victor Agbayani, Vice Governor Marlyn Primcias Agabas, Mayors Alipio Fernandez Jr., Hernani Braganza, Amadito Perez, Julier Resuello, Jonas Castaneda, Sammy Rosario, Mojamito Libunao, Herminio Romero and Nestor Pulido.

Supporting the event are University of Pangasinan Chairman Cesar Duque, University of Luzon President MacArthur Samson and Vice President for Academic Affairs Vice President Aurora Reyna, City Schools Superintendent Aurora Domingo;
