DOT actively promoting Pangasinan tourism
STO. TOMAS–The Department of Tourism is on a pro-active mode helping promote tourism in Pangasinan.
This was stressed by DOT Regional Director Martin Valera who recently handed a check for the redevelopment of a swimming pool at the Angela Valdez High School in Asingan that was built during the incumbency of President Fidel Ramos.
He said the DOT regional office is also in the forefront promoting trekking from San Nicolas, all the way to Benguet province, and pilgrimage tours to Manaoag and other religious centers in the province.
Kayaking at the Hundred Islands National Park is the latest addition to the DOT’s promotional efforts in the province in collaboration with the city government of Alaminos, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, and the New Zealand government.—LM
