Cruz, Joey III, Duque, top Diwa, Salita at Gawa Awards
FIFTEEN personalities including a militant church leader and anti-corruption advocate businessman were cited as 15 honorees of the Northern Luzon chapter of the publishers Association of the Philippines and the Dagupan City-based national broadcast magazine “Diwa, Salita at Gawa” on the latter’s 30th year anniversary slated at the Star Plaza on February 26 at 7 p.m.
This was announced by Diwa, Salita at Gawa producer and PAPI national spokesman Ruben River, co-chairman of the awards committee.
The honorees are Bishop Oscar Cruz, former Broadband Philippines chairman Jose de Venecia III, Club Mwah manager Pocholo Mallilin, Undersecretary Antonio Villar Jr., Health Sec. Francisco T. Duque III, Public Works and Highways Secretary Hermogenes Ebdane Jr., lawyer Raul Lambino, Maki Pulido, Westley Rosario, Judge Clifton Ganay, State Prosecutor Caridad Junio, former Barangay Tapuac chairman Alfredo Dawana, writer Cesar Carpio, Dagupan City Police Chief Col. Dionicio Borromeo, and historian Restituto Basa.
A screening committee headed by journalist Jun Velasco, former National Press Club director and PAPI consultant, is composed of columnist Juanito Lagao, Pastor Arnold Badaguas, lawyer Jack Castañeda and PAPI president Johnny Dayang. #
