Overseas Job Fair, Jan. 16-17

A two-day job fair is slated in Dagupan City on January 16-17 to give unemployed and underemployed DagupeƱos a chance to find work overseas.

Those who will qualify will be sent for jobs in Canada, United States, Singapore, United Kingdom, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Qatar and Dubai.

Set at the Dagupan City Museum, the job fair is sponsored by the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) in collaboration with the Philippine Hospital and Health Ser vices, Inc. and the Dagupan City government.

PESO manager Melita Malong said the activity is part of the program of Mayor Alipio Fernandez Jr. to help DagupeƱos who are seeking jobs abroad.

The fair will list job openings for hotel room attendants, cooks, waiters/waitresses, carpenters, medical technologists, caregivers, nurse assistants, carpet/tile fitters, framers, cabinet makers, physical therapists, licensed nurses, physio therapists, occupational therapists, medical secretaries.

Laboratory technicians, speech therapists, male engineers, operators, housemaids, caretakers, sewerage engineers, plumbing, drainage and water supply engineers, utilities engineers, electrical engineers, senior quantity surveyors, planning and schedule engineers, senior highway surveyors, highway surveyors, building and highway inspectors, construction workers and contracts managers.#
