MALASIQUI– “I am my own leader.”

Third District Rep. Rachel Arenas made this pronouncement as she belied reports that she is simply implementing projects initiated by her predecessor.

She stressed that even before she was elected in May last year, she had already implemented projects such as the road lines in Malasiqui.

Hindi naman sa pagyayabang, even before I became a congresswoman, tatlong concreting na po ang aking naipagawa, dun sa barangay Nancapian going to Tobor barangay, Taloy road at Tambac road sa tulong po ng ating mahal na dating Presidente Fidel Ramos and, of course, sa tulong ng mahal na Presidente GMA,” she said.

She also listed among her other projects are the pipeline, the roofing of the amphitheater in Malasiqui, construction of Tarece road and a covered court in Turac as requested by San Carlos City Mayor Julier Resuello, and several farm-to-market roads.

“I worked hard for the funds,” she said.

“I am appealing to our people not to dwell on intrigues. Let’s focus on the positive things this new year,” she added. #
