2 houses burned, 2 damaged

TWO houses went up in smoke in a one-hour fire Thursday dawn in interior Sitio Barrera in Pantal, Dagupan City.

The blaze that started at 1:30 a.m. gobbled up the houses made of light materials owned by Juanito Adap and his son Joselito.

Two other adjacent houses owned by Corazon Quezada and Petra Fernandez were partially destroyed.

Fire Chief Inspector Romualdo Mina, fire marshal of Dagupan, said firemen immediately responded but due to a narrow alley, they could only bring their fire trucks to the fire scene one at a time.

No one was injured in the first fire ever to be recorded in Dagupan this year.—LM
