MAYBANK PARTNERS WITH PVAO

Maybank partners with PVAOMaybank Philippines, a member of the Maybank Group, Malaysia’s largest bank, recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Philippine Veterans’ Affairs Office (PVAO) to allow veterans to receive their pension through their Maybank ATM accounts. The formalization of the agreement was held at the PVAO Office at the Camp Aguinaldo Compound in Quezon City and was graced by Undersecretary Ernesto Carolina (4th from right), and Enrique Jimenez, Maybank Philippines senior vice president, (4th from left). Other PVAO dignitaries present were Atty. Romeo Lazo, PVAO deputy administrator (2nd from right), Nostradamus Villanueva, PVAO CEO & Director III (3rd from left) and Heriberto Ruarto, chief, financial & management division (far left). Rounding up the Maybank team are Susan Catindig, vice president & cluster head (center), Wilmer Tam, Vice President & Head for Information Services (2nd from left). Ms. Fe Arceo, Branch Head for Camp Aguinaldo (3rd from right) and Mr. Jayson Mendoza, Head for Salary Loans. During the event, Usec. Carolina commented that the partnership is a step closer to Philippine President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo’s vision of professionalizing the management of government assets by partnering with private institutions.
