‘Knock-out Tigdas’ campaign extended

Health Office (CHO) here will extend the “Knock-Out Tigdas” campaign of the Department of Health(DOH), which ended November 15, until supply lasts in order to sufficiently cover more children between nine months to four years old.

Dr. Leonard Carbonell, city health officer, said at least 15,000 children in the same bracket are targeted to be vaccinated with anti-measles vaccine.

“We will extend it as long as mayroong magpa-pabakuna,” Carbonell said.

He also said about 25,000 children between six months to six years old will also be given Vitamin A.

The CHO is also targeting about 22,000 children to be given medicine for mass deworming. –CSR
