UL student attends int’l forum on financial literacy
UNIVERSITY of Luzon (UL) student Stephanie Sonato Flores joined the elite circle of 100 student-delegates who participated in the 2007 HSBC Financial Literacy Forum held in New York City last October 8 to 12.

FLORESThe event, participated in by students coming from 27 countries, was initiated by the Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) International, with its funding partners, the HSBC Global Education Trust and the Corporate Investment Banking and Markets (CIBM) divisions of HSBC.
It was aimed at bringing SIFE members together for discussions and round tables, with the representation of each team’s Financial Literacy Project as principal event.
The international gab was simultaneously held with the launching of the World Cup, a competition of the global members of the SIFE link.
Flores, the sole representative of the North-Central Luzon Region, was given the opportunity to attend the international affair after being nominated delegate by the UL Center for Integrated Extension Services through the UL National Service Training Program-Students in Free Enterprise.
