SUAL– Charlies Lee Kiongson, a 23-year old councilor of Anda town is believed to have committed suicide inside his own room in the early hours of October 3.

Kiongson was found by his father, Reynaldo Kiongson, in his bed with a gunshot wound on the right side of his head.

Beside his body was one 9 mm Taurus pistol loaded with 10 live ammunition, a 9 mm emptyshell  and one suicide note written on a white coupon bond.

The police did not elaborate on the content of the suicide note.

The young councilor’s family last saw him during dinner on the evening of October 2, after which he went to his room at their residence.

At around 12 noon the following day, the elder Kiongson knocked on his son’s room to remind him about his scheduled session at the Anda municipal office.

Not getting any response, the father climbed the rooftop of their kitchen to be able to look inside the room through the glass window. There he saw his son with blood stains on his head and pillows. #
