Star-studded Sari-sari store exhibit Sep. 28 – 30
Sari-sari store owners from all over Northern Luzon will flock to Dagupan City for the Livelihood and Sari-Sari Store Exhibit on Sept. 28-30 at the Jimmy Fernandez Stadia in Lucao, Dagupan City.
The three-day event, the first of its kind in the country, will also showcase an entertainment feature to be participated in by popular personalities and performers.
Vice Mayor Belen Fernandez, president of the CSI Group of Companies which is sponsoring the event, said her company’s aim is to help boost the economy in Dagupan City as well as the outlying areas within Pangasinan and neighboring provinces.
Co-sponsoring the venture is the Dagupan City government and the Department of Trade and Industry provincial office.
Angelica Panganiban with the “Banda Kawayan” and a Lion Dance exhibition will be featured during opening program.

Fernandez said also expected to attend are owners of restaurants and eateries and caterers who can get valuable tips during the livelihood seminar on how to improve their business in the face of various challenges.
But the day will belong to the sari-sari store owners as the three-day affair will focus on helping make their business prosper and grow.
The activity will open on the 28th at 9:00 a.m. with Dagupan City Mayor Alipio Fernandez Jr. and former San Fernando City Mayor Mary Jane Ortega cutting the ceremonial ribbon.
Vice Mayor Fernandez said the seminar and exhibit will showcase sari-sari stores as a viable enterprise.
The exhibit will coincide with the launching of the CSI Supersaving Cards, which will serve as a tool for discount schemes.
Various multinational companies such as Nestle Philippines and Colgate-Palmolive Philippines are conducting the business-related training sessions.
Entertainment
Other guest artists expected to arrive for the opening day are young heartthrobs Kim Chui and Shaina Magdayao who will be available for photo ops with fans who purchase Rejoice and Creamsilk products (with Kim) and Sunsilk (with Shaina).
Other movie and TV personalities expected to entertain exhibitors and the visitors are Heart Evangelista, Gelli de Belen, Ai-Ai de las Alas and Mickey Ferriols.
