Househelp steals P1M jewelries from Guadiz
A houseHELP of former City Councilor Teofilo Guadiz III was arrested in Dagupan City after running away with more than P1-million worth of assorted jewelry from her employer’s Manila home.
The suspect, Norma Rodriguez of Caranglaan district, Dagupan City, was nabbed by the police September 16, according to Superintendent Dionicio Borromeo, city police chief.
Recovered from Rodriguez were one solitaire diamond ring worth P300,000, one set diamond enchanted ring and earrings with big flower design worth P100,000, one set of earrings with small diamonds on white gold worth P60,000, one gold monkey moving pendant worth P25,000, diamond-studded gold bangle worth P150,000, one Rolex lady watch worth P200,000 and one digital camcorder with a still undetermined value.
The Guadiz family immediately reported to the Dagupan police on the same day Rodriguez hastily left the Guadiz’s residence.
One gold ring and a heart shaped diamond solitaire were not recovered as these were allegedly pawned by the suspect in Manila. #
