A BOOK on legal writing, titled “Legal Writing”, by Judge Alicia G. Decano (ret.) DCL, is now available in the market.

The book, intended for first year law students and lawyers, is designed to inculcate in them the importance of legal writing. It starts with a revisit of English, Grammar, Rhetoric and Composition Writing, followed by the study and analysis of legal writing proper.

Samples of orders of judges, memoranda of some lawyers; litigated motions, resolutions and decisions are likewise printed for critical study and analysis. Finally, some short digests of cases in the field of Civil Law, Remedial Law, Constitutional Law and Labor Law with emphasis on the issues resolved by the Supreme Court are cited.

It is now available at the UST Publishing House, UST, España, Manila and at the Central Books Supply Inc., Quezon Avenue, Quezon City and other local book stores.
