Milo SBP-Passerelle tournament opens

The Milo Small Basketeers Phils. (SBP)-Passerelle Tournament opened August 5 at the Urdaneta Cultural and Sports Center.

The tourney, which has served as a venue for both amateur and professional basketball development for the last 22 years, is now under a new organizer and tournament commissioner, Ren Ildefonso.

Participants are students aged nine to 14 years old, divided in two levels: the SBP composed of 9-11 years old; and the Passerelle composed of 12-14 years old.

This year, 11 teams from different schools joined the league, six of them belong to the SBP level, including La Marea Academy, Mother Goose Special Schools System Dagupan, Mother Goose Special School System Urdaneta, Urdaneta Central School and St. John’s Cathedral School, while the other five teams are under the Passerelle level are Divine Word College of Urdaneta, Mother Goose High School Dagupan, Mother Goose High School Urdaneta, Urdaneta City National High School And St. John’s Cathedral School.

The next games are scheduled on August 11 and 12 at the Lyceum Northwestern University Dagupan.
