Inter-schools PRISAA games set on Aug. 22
THE province’s future basketball stars will take center stage when the PRISAA First Inter-Schools Basketball Championships opens on August 22 at the Dagupan People’s Astrodome.
The tourney will pit the best grade school and high school basketball teams from across the province in the spirit of teamwork, sportsmanship and camaraderie.
Tournament executive director Phil Celi said 11 schools are taking part including the University of Pangasinan, LNU General High School, Pangasinan Universal Institute, Mother Goose Special Science High School, Dominican School, Divine Word Academy of Dagupan, Edna’s School, FQDMF Special High School, College of St. Michael the Archangel, La Marea Academy and Wonder School.
The event is an initiative of Atty. Gonzalo Duque, the President of PRISAA Region 1 and co-chairman of PRISAA National Board of Trustees.
The opening ceremony, which will be led by Dagupan Vice Mayor Belen Fernandez, will start at 8:00 a.m. and the games are expected to commence at 10:00 a.m.—JAG,Jr.
