The house is in order and the city councilors are ready to get down to business.

The Sangguniang Panlungsod of Dagupan, headed by Vice Mayor Belen Fernandez, has already sorted out its organizational set up for the next three years, preparing the group for some real work ahead.

During their first session Monday, Councilor Farah Decano was named majority floor leader while Dr. Jesus Canto and Karlos Liberato Reyna IV have been designated assistant majority floor leader and minority floor leader respectively.

Named presiding pro tempore is Councilor Michael Fernandez.

The different committees will be manned by the following:

* Committee on Rules and Procedures: Decano, chairman; Councilor Fernandez, vice chairman;

*Committee on Finance and Ways and Means: Councilor Danilo Torio, chairman; Councilor Fernandez, vice chairman;

* Local and Internal Affairs: Decano, chairman; Councilor Jose Netu Tamayo, vice chairman;

* Peace and Order: Councilor Luis Samson Jr., chairman; Torio, vice chairman;

* Agriculture and Fisheries: Councilor Alfredo Quinto, chairman;

* Urban Poor: Canto, chairman; Tamayo, vice chairman;
