CSI launches 31-day feeding project in city

CITY Supermarket Inc., a chain on malls owned by Dagupan Vice Mayor Belen Fernandez, is sponsoring a 31-day feeding project covering all barangays in the city in support of the social programs of Mayor Alipio Fernandez Jr.

The CSI Breakfast Feeding Project was launched July 12 in barangay Lucao and will run until September 5 with a four-day a week schedule.

The feeding program is being implemented in coordination with the City Nutrition office led by Leah Aquino, and with collaboration of barangay captains and their respective barangay nutrition scholars (BNS).

During the opening of the project, Aquino expressed gratitude for CSI’s efforts to augment the city’s programs with its own feeding program to benefit malnourished school children.

Vice Mayor Fernandez said the project is part of the corporate commitment of her company for the poor and under-privileged children.

Joining the vice mayor during the launch was Lucao’s Barangay Captain Lino Fernandez, his councilmen and other barangay officials, including Perla Lopez, a BNS.

The feeding program was eventually extended to sitios Patalan and Guibang in Pantal; Tatung street and Sta. Maria street in Boquig on Friday and Sunday respectively.

The breakfast feeding program will also be heldin Pugaro on July 16; Bonuan Gueset on July 18, Bonuan Binloc on July 19; Calmay, July 20, Carael, July 23, Arellano Street in Pantal, July 26; Bacayao Sur, July 27; Bacayao Norte, July 30; Lasip Chico;

Aug. 1; Lasip Grande, Aug. 2; Salapingao, Aug. 3; Bolosan, Aug. 6; Salisay, Aug. 8; Mamalingling, Aug. 9; Herrero-Perez, Aug. 10; Barangay1, Aug. 13; Poblacion Oeste, Aug. 15; Tambac, Aug. 16; Mayombo, Aug. 17; sitios Bayanihan and Puelay in Caranglaan, Aug. 20; Malued, Aug. 22; Tapuac, Aug. 23; Tebeng, Aug. 24; Barangay II and III, Aug. 27; Manguin, Aug. 29; Barangay IV, Aug. 30; Pogo Chico, Aug. 31; Pogo Grande, Sept. 3; and Lomboy, Sept.5.
