Alcala police opens “model” building
ALCALA–It will be the model police station for Pangasinan.
Alcala Mayor Manuel Collado has announced that the town is ready to inaugurate its new three-storey police station, which he believes will serve as a model for Philippine National Police (PNP) stations in the province.
The PNP provided P2.5 million for the building while the town provided its counterpart of P1.5 million, a part of which came from proceeds of previous fiesta celebrations, particularly when the town held its longest grill activity.
The structure sits on a 400 square-meter lot donated by the town to the local PNP.
Collado said his town will continue to provide the funds for the furnishings of the building.
Aside from the offices for the police chief and his deputy, the building has separate quarters for the town’s policemen with individual lockers, a conference room and comfort rooms on every floor, Collado said.–EVA
