PICPA Pangasinan is Most Outstanding Chapter

CONTINUING its tradition of service excellence, PICPA Pangasinan, led by its president, Judith Reyes, bested organization’s other chapters throughout the Philippines as it garnered for the third straight year the Most Outstanding Chapter (Category A) award during the 61st PICPA Annual National Convention held in Iloilo City last May 25.

Reyes credited the award to the dedication and commitment of members and officers who were determined to uphold the chapter’s legacy of excellence and community service.

Chapter officers, EVP Joe Ferrer, Sherryl Escano and Remy Sapiera, including past presidents Rudy Carolino and Ramon Reyna, traveled to Iloilo City to join the convention and witness the awards night.

The delegation also included accountants from the local government, Provincial Accountant Nenita Dimalanta with Fely Fernandez, Marcela Tumabagan with husband Rodrigo, Luzviminda Madrid, Flora Parcina and CPA Cora Puzon and husband Dr. Ike Puzon of Ligayen.

The PICPA Pangasinan officers for 2006-2007 are Gertrudes C. Reyes, president ; Jose Ferrer, (executive vice president/ president-elect); Noel Maniacop, (VP for Internal Affairs); Ofelia Celi, (VP for Professional Development); Rita Garcia, (VP for External Affairs); Michelle dela Cruz, (secretary); Genelou Bagayao, (asst. secretary); Sheryl Escano, (treasurer); Julie Racho, (PRO); Remedios Sapiera, (auditor), Conrado Zarate, (business manager) and Leonardo Bagayao, (sgt. at arms).

Serving in the board of directors are Jose Ferrer and Noel Maniacop (commerce & industry), Ofelia Celi and Bernardo Tamondong (government), Elma Lorenzo and Lelani Garcia (public practice), Debbie Castillo and Rita Garcia (education), Immediate Past President Antonio Patungan also sits in the Board as ex-officio.
