MGSSHS lauds outstanding alumni in politics

AN elated Mother Goose Special Science High School Director, Mrs. Gertrudes Cuison-Samson, praised   the school’s alumni who triumphed in the last elections, adding luster to the school’s history.

According to Samson, seven of their alumni won as public officials in the May election, three of whom were declared topnotchers in their respective localities.

“The alumni’s outstanding feat is a reflection of the leadership training acquired from their Alma Mater which holds the reputation as a cradle of high achievers and molder of young promising politicians,” she said.

The elected local government leaders are: John V. Arcinue (Batch 1992), Sual Mayor; Dennis C. Uy (Valedictorian-Batch 1988), Pozorrubio Councilor, ranked 1; John Benedict M. Acosta (Batch 2000), Calasiao Councilor, ranked 1; Alexander T. Parayno (Batch 1995), Sta. Barbara Councilor; Farah G. Decano (Valedictorian-Batch 1987), Ma. Librada M.  Reyna (Batch 1995) and Karlos E. Reyna (Batch 1992), Dagupan City Councilors, ranked 1, 3 and 10 respectively.

Meanwhile, two of its alumni successfully hurled the 2007 Certified Public Accountancy Board Examination, namely: Vladimir D. Tolete, B.S. Bus. Management, U.P. Diliman & B.S. Accountancy, PSBA (Salutatorian – Batch 1999) and son of Atty. & Mrs. Villamor Tolete and Jeffrey C. Vinluan, B.S. Accountancy, U.P. Diliman (Valedictorian – Batch 2000) and son of Mr. & Mrs. Nigel Vinluan.
