ANOTHER pedestrian overpass is now being constructed in Dagupan City. This time on Arellano Street, in front of Colegio de Dagupan and Nepo Mall.

Department of Public Works and Highways Regional Director Fidel Ginez said work for the P4.5 million overpass has finally started following the delay brought about by the recent election.

Ginez, speaking to newsmen in Dagupan, said funding for the project and another proposed overpass across A.B. Fernandez Avenue just in front of the Philippine National Bank were already made avail able before the election.

The project is again being financed through the Community Development Assistance Fund of reelected   Fourth District Congressman House Speaker Jose de Venecia Jr.

The two planned pedestrian overpass are part of the five overpasses initially slated in the city.

The first overpass in front of the Dagupan City National High School across Tapuac-Lucao road was completed before the election.

The two others, across Burgos Street and M. H. del Pilar Street, are still awaiting funding from De Venecia’s CDAF.–LM
