AFTER suffering a major setback in his political career, Dagupan City Mayor Benjamin Lim is raring to buckle down to work at the Dagupan City Hall.

“It is still my duty to administer the city in the remaining days of my administration,” Lim said on Thursday at a news conference.

Surrounded by his aides, he said he will seek to complete projects and activities that remain pending as he prepares for the turnover and a smooth transition to the incoming administration under newly-elected City Mayor Alipio Fernandez.

He assured Fernandez of his cooperation for an efficient turn-over to help sustain the momentum for development in the city.

The outgoing mayor added that he will not hesitate to recommend to the incoming administration to pursue and sustain the projects he has initiated which are beneficial to Dagupeños and expressed hope that these will be welcomed.

He cited the establishment of a modern library in the city, the grant of soft loans and low-cost housing program to the city hall employees.

Lim also stressed that in his capacity as a private citizen after June 30, he will still make himself available to the city government and assist if invited in the completion of planned projects such the establishment of a Bangus Processing Plant which could generate hundreds of jobs to the people.
