Al Fernandez inducts Tocok officers club
DAGUPAN City’s Mayor-elect Alipio Fernandez Jr. urged the new officers of the United Families of Tocok Island (UFTI) in Barangay Lucao, Dagupan City headed by former Dagupan City Association of Barangay Captains president Alfredo Dawana to remain united and promote peace and the bayanihan spirit to enhance growth and development in the area.
Fernandez said he is collaborating with Speaker Jose de Venecia, his newly elected team led by Vice Mayor-elect Belen Fernandez, the Lucao barangay council headed by Lino Fernandez and Tocok homeowners to develop and improve their sitio.
Fernandez was guest of honor during the induction of UFTI officers.
Dawana earlier tapped a group led by Bong Santillan and Ani Lagao to develop the 30-hectare “virgin” Tocok River which he said could be a source of marine life, tourism, and other eco-tourism projects.
In one of their meetings, De Venecia told Dawana he will help Tocok residents in an advisory capacity to tackle their projects in phases and make them more realistic and viable.
First of these projects is a public artesian well which is about to be implemented, followed by dredging and housing.
