MANGATAREM–Cattle rustlers be warned! The local police is not all eyes just on election-related crimes in this campaign season.

Chief Inspector Gerardo Roxas, chief of police   here, said they continue to be on alert for other illegal activities, especially the prevalent cattle rustling.

Roxas said two carabaos were recovered here Tuesday evening after being left behind by cattle rustlers who encountered a police foot patrol in barangay Nancalasan.

The animals, owned by Delfin and Bonifacio Olegario, were recovered in a grassy area in the barangay.

The regular dispatch of   foot patrol units is in line with the policy of police visibility being regularly implemented by the police in coordination with members of barangay officials.

Roxas also called on the barangay residents to extend their assistance by immediately alerting them on commission of crimes and other illegal activities in their areas.—APE
