Tondaligan Park visitors, be warned!

A couple from Isabela recently lost as much as P45,000 worth of property and cash while summer-holidaying at the Tondaligan Park.

Following the incident, Tondaligan Park Administrator Dionisio Bolor called on shed owners to adopt more security measures within their respective perimeters for the protection of their customers.

The couple Edgardo and Jennifer Rufian, who rented a hut from the Maritess Shed, were taking a dip in the sea when thieves sneaked  inside their   hut and carted away their bag containing two cellular phone units worth P10,000 each plus P25,000 in cash.

Bolor vowed to act on the complaint of the Rufian couple and said his office is already looking into the possible complicity between the shed owner and the thieves.

Meanwhile, Tondaligan Police Community Precinct Commander Inspector Amano Cancino also appealed to shed owners to help them protect park tourists as he and Bolor noted that thievery in the area has increased. They also observed that street children are teeming in the beach area.

Bolor underscored the need to maintain a good reputation for the park to continue to attract visitors and keep them coming.—A.P.E.
