A TOTAL of 47 candidates are in the race for eight provincial posts and six congressional seats.

Based on the certificates of candidacy received by the Office of the Provincial Elections Supervisor up to 12:00 midnight  of Thursday, six are running for governor, two for vice governor, 14 for congress, and the rest for board members.

Those running for governor are Dr. Jamie Agbayani (independent), 2nd District Rep. Amado    Espino Jr. (Kampi), and Vice Governor Oscar Lambino (Lakas Christian Muslim Democrats).

Three other independent candidates in the governorship race are Bartolome Padilla, Modesto Capulong and Reynaldo Sebastian.

The only two candidates for vice governor are Provincial Board Member Dionisio Villar (Lakas-CMD), and Marlyn Primicia Agabas (Kampi)

The candidates for congressman are: –

(First District) Arthur Celeste (Kampi) and Alberto Braganza (Laban ng Demokratikong Pilipino)

– (Second District) Victor Agbayani (Lakas CMD), Kim Lokin (Nationalist People’s Coalition); Jose Bengzon III (Kampi)

– (Third district) Rachel Arenas (Lakas CMD), Gallant Soriano  (Partido Sosyalista Demokratiko ng Pilipinas), Leocadio de Vera (NPC), and Generoso Tulagan (Kampi). 

– (Fourth District) Benjamin Lim  (PDP-Laban), Jose de Venecia Jr. (Lakas CMD), Juan Siapno Jr., (Independent)

– (Fifth District) Mark Cojuangco (NPC)

– (Sixth District) Rep. Conrado Estrella III (NPC)

The candidates for board members are

– (First District) Michael Roy Boling (LDP), Danilo Dizon  (Lakas/Kampi), Alicia Pulido (Partido ng Masang Pilipino)

– (Second District) Nestor Reyes (Lakas CMD), Von Mark Mendoza (Lakas CMD), Rogelio Caronongan (Independent), and Nicolas Isagani (Independent)

– (Third district) Romeo Dadacay (Lakas CMD), Angel Baniqued (Lakas CMD), Wilson Tigno (Kampi), Jennelyn Villamar (Kampi)

– (Fourth District) Geraldine Baniqued, (Kampi), Liberato Villegas (Kampi), Manuel  Ancheta (Independent), and Jeremy Rosario (Lakas CMD).

– (Fifth) Charizsma Salud Caranchu (Lakas CMD), Danilo Uy (Lakas CMD), Rodrigo Galletes (Independent), Moises  Tinio (Independent),

– (Sixth District) Alfonso Bince Jr., (Lakas CMD), Vicente Badungao, (Kilusang Bagong Lipunan), Ignascio Monte (Independent), Evangeline Dorao (Lakas CMD), Tyrone Agabas (NPC) and Nestor Revita (NPC).

The official campaign period started Friday and will end on May 12 election. — LM
