Japanese karate champion trains Dagupan team anew

SENSIE Mori Atsushi has returned for the 2nd time to lend a helping hand to the Dagupan City Karate Team in preparation for the Philippine Olympic Festival.

Sensie Mori, one of the finest Japanese karate players ever to visit the Philippines, belongs to the discipline of  Wado Ryu Karate-Do, wherein Dagupan City belongs.

He was the 2004 Gold Kata medallist in Komae, Tokyo and the 2005-2006 Silver Kata medalist in Machida, Tokyo.

As a member of the International Federations of Wado Ryu Karate-Do, Dagupan City enjoys first class karate training from Japanese karate experts and enjoys international karate exposure from the World Wado Karate Championships held in Japan and Europe.

“Team YMCA-Dagupan is serious in maintaining its good reputation in local and national competitions by keeping its members in good health and inviting outstanding Japanese trainers to help,” said Dr. Enrico Vasquez, training director.

The team’s training pool was organized four years ago at with players aged eight years old to 12.
