Wu Kong holds job fair in Malasiqui
MALASIQUI — The Japanese company Wu Kong Singapore Private Ltd. extended its job fair last Tuesday here, its fourth in the province this year.
The job fairs were held earlier in Bayambang, San Carlos City, Calasiao-Sta. Barbara area where more than 150 were recruited for immediate employment.
Wu Kong is a leading manufacturing firm based at the Export Processing Zone Authority (EPZA) industrial center in Cavite. It pre-fabricates structural parts of Japanese houses for export to Japan.
Retired police General Reynaldo Velasco initiated the new job fair in collaboration with the office of Malasiqui Mayor Alfonso Soriano.
Wu Kong expressed hope that it could recruit most of the 600 skilled workers that it needs from Pangasinan.
The job fair here also included the physical and free medical examinations of qualified applicants screened from the earlier job fairs in Bayambang and San Carlos City.
The recent job fairs in San Carlos City and Bayambang were also coordinated by Velasco with the help of Mayor Julian Resuello and Bayambang Vice Mayor Jose Ramos, respectively.
“The people of San Carlos City are grateful for General Velasco’s noble gesture in helping our citymates get decent jobs by bringing the job fair to our city,” Resuello said.
Wu Kong’s human resource development officer Judith Dewilan, said her company is now hiring workers to fill up positions for production, office staff, and supervisory positions.
The company is now hiring at least 100 workers every 15 days with the following qualifications: 18 to 28 years old and at least high school graduate whose height is at least five feet and two inches.
Those who will be hired are assured of jobs that will give them a monthly salary ranging from P11,000 to P13,000.
