Ear Technologies Philippines, Inc., a hearing aid company based in Dagupan City, was recently named the exclusive distributor of Siemens Hearing Instruments in Northern Luzon. This was effected through a Memorandum on Understanding (MOU) signed by Mr. Namkee Sohn, South East Asia Representative of Siemens Medical Instruments (SMI) of Singapore, and Dr. Jerry Agerico Rosario, the chief operations officer of Ear Technologies.

Siemens is a world-renowned leader in hearing aid technology and has one of the widest range of digital hearing instruments. Their products include digital behind-the-ear (BTE) hearing aids to the most advanced and smallest fully programmable in-the-canal units. On the other hand, Ear Technologies has pioneered the establishment of one-stop hearing aid centers in the region. Organized only in 2004, it already has 4 branches in Northern Luzon, namely, Dagupan City, San Fernando La Union, Baguio City and Tarlac City and it operates its own ear mould laboratory in its office in Dagupan City.

“The needs of the hearing-impaired remains underserved in this country and Siemens is committed in making advanced hearing aid technology available in all areas of the Philippines”, said Mr. Namkee Sohn, she added that “Ear Technologies, whose prime movers are members of the Philippines Society of Audiology, conforms with our commitment and they have continually expanded their presence in the region and opened 4 branches in Northern Luzon in the past 2 years.”

In addition to adult hearing testing and hearing aid fitting, Ear Technologies-Dagupan also offers oto-acoustic emission testing (OAE) for infant and children. It is also the country distributor of audiometric products of Maico Diagnostics of Germany.
